I've been sewing and creating since I was a young girl. I grew up in a family full of crafty women so it was only natural that I'd follow in their foot steps. I now have my own family with my wonderful husband of 11 years. We have an 8-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter.
Being a parent of young kids we tend receive a lot of birthday invitations. I'm not always sure what the birthday child's interests may be so it can be tough to find just the right gift. Being the creative person that I am, I wanted to find a unique gift that I knew the birthday child would enjoy but wouldn't just add to a mountain of toys that kids normally receive...at least I know mine do.
I began creating personalized bath towels to give as gifts and often included a bottle of bubble bath or a handy beach bag that coordinated with the towel. So many of the parent's loved them and wanted to know how to order some for their own children. That is when I created Made By Amanda. I have showcased my towels at local craft fairs, on Etsy and through Facebook. The response has been amazing.
I take great pride in the work and level of detail I put into each item I create and I look forward to creating something special just for you.
